TIGER BITE was hired by Kristian Chase, Creative Director of Aqua Blu, to create a short documentary about ‘the making of’ his signature finale piece in the lead up to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia 19’.
In-kind, TIGER BITE captured, produced, and edited all the video content, before and during the event, delivering a full-recap documentary.
On Thursday 11 May, Aqua Blu deputed their first solo show and 2019 collection “The Garden of Eden”. The powerful performance was met with the press and media, calling it the ”The jewel in fashion week’s crown”.
An empowering show that pushed traditions and boundaries, it showed Australia and the world its inclusivity and diversity, with Kristian’s desire to create a swim and resort wear that’s inclusive, regardless of age, size, sex or colour.

Aluna The Label are beautiful quality pieces hand-made in Colombia and finished in Australia. Lucia, the crafts-women of the brand, explained to me that gold-filed jewellery should never be taken off and encourages people to swim in the ocean. Her explanation inspired us to create a connection between the Aluna and nature; the pieces become it part of you, not just an accessory.
The story shows the connection between water, earth, wind and yourself; when we connect with mother nature, we connect with ourselves. Aluna’s ethos is to inspire women to embrace their femininity and confidence.
